windy dog hill is a pet-friendly Vermont bed and breakfast. “Cozy rooms” are alright, but after a day of leaf-peeping, skiing, craft and country fairs, hiking, biking, touring, shopping, or just relaxing – you want your lodging to be as unique as your Vermont experiences.

When you arrive at windy dog hill – for now, you’re home! Our single, self-contained ground-floor suite was built in 1998 as a separate addition to our home. It features a private entry, screened-in porch, generous living room, bedroom with a queen-size bed, mini-kitchen, and bathroom.

Guests at windy dog hill enjoy a Vermont-style continental breakfast, served in their suite, with a selection of homemade muffins, granola, bagels, seasonal fruit, yogurt and juice. Vermont-roasted organic fair trade coffees and an assortment of teas are provided for you to brew and steep at your leisure. If a more substantial breakfast is desired, you have your own mini-kitchen and there is a restaurant in town where the service is relaxed and the food is quite good.

As a pet-friendly home for an over-night or a week, our dogs Gaby and Callie are happy to make your acquaintance. Chances are you won't see our indoor kitties Annie or her adopted little brother Pip.
You're invited to wander around our perennial gardens. Feel free to weed. And if something catches your eye that needs to be divided – we’re happy to send plants home with you. And please, feel free to weed.

We, Barbara and Richard, have been entertaining friends and family in our home for close to twenty years. Some over-stayed their welcome – most couldn’t stay long enough. As your hosts, we’re thrilled to share with you our little corner of the world and make your Vermont visit relaxing, convenient, and unique.
